I have never seen the child's pose included in T#3. It's fine to modify and add but these rites are 1000s of years old and done a certain way. So IMO better to call it modified T#3 Examples : You can be on your toes for a arch stretch and can sit down on your heals as well and even pick up your knees but these are all modifications to T#3
In Peter Kelder's 1940s book 'Eye of Revelation', which was the first time the 5 Tibetans were ever widely described for westerners in a text, it does describe a variation of this Rite where you bend all the way forward and touch your head to the floor in before coming up and going into the fully extended finish position. So Tim is pretty close to that variant with this
@@robertwhite2449 That's interesting but call it a variation or modified then is all I'm saying. I would like to see the original text which I'm sure has pictures and not interpreted by a Westerner though to see what they are showing.
@@semperfidelificationI recommend you give the Wikipedia article about the book a read, it gives some interesting background. By all accounts it’s unlikely these exercises are even Tibetan, let alone thousands of years old.

WOW golden oldie coming my way curtesy of YT algo's! I inherited from my father a lower back that is in constant need of care & attention, and the stress on hips & lower back from daily surfing make this is a great addition to my repertoire. Instead of using a box to hold onto, I grabbed a barbell that was set up at hip height and learned that I can also target the lats & shoulders, those other surf related body parts that always requires care & attention. 🏄♂🤙

I really appreciate your work. One thinig I have been experimenting with is massaging my neck with my head and my torso with my elbows, it tends to improve all exploratory/restorative stretching/overcoming resistance in central nervous system. You might like it :)

Ive been doing these since 1990 and theyve been great! 50yrs young and feeling great! Strengthened a weak injured knee, no MCL or meniscus and yet im able to walk everyday
These could be one of the best movements for overall health and wellbeing
I know a few surfers who look like Komodo dragons when they're paddling for a wave. And we all catch waves where our body should be aligned under our head, but it's not 😂 usually doesn't end as well as that 'head in the sky' kick-out from Medina at the Olympics.

Could you do a video about how to improve mobility for the kind of extending leg motion needed to get on and off a bicycle? I have good levels of strength and fitness in many ways, but my leg mobility to swing over and on to a bicycle has really declined over the years and I don't even know how this happened to me.
Let me see what I can come up with.
